Barkley Blah!

The first time I started a blog, it was because I had something to say, hence the turningsixty blog was born. Then I started the MyBookBlog, an ongoing project to help me write 'The Book'.
Now, this one looks like being a "Sometimes Journal", definitely a reflection of the current pace of my life.

Dear Della ~~ Lovely to hear from you and that is a wonderful post -- all that greenery and the lovely plants. Our state sure doesn't look like that at present. But it will all come back in time. Thank yo so much for your comment and concern.
The fires have been unbelievable. Thank you for thinking of us and also for your prayers. Take care, my friend. ove, Merle.

HI Della - Sounds like a wonderful tranquil setting. The tree sounds amazing!!

My daughter commented upon your concern about plastic bottles - in case you missed it here is her comment-

Re plastic bottles -

I did some research on this when a small mentioned turned up in time magazine. At the time I was using polycarbonate (bad) bottles to feed my baby. This involves putting boiling water in which is the worst thing that can be done as it accelerates the leaching. There are numbers (in Australia) which indicate the safe plastics. There have been over 100 studies done on this issue and unsurprisingly all of the independent studies found a problem and all the plastic industry funded studies found no problem. The bad stuff is usually very hard clear plastic which is what 95% of the baby bottles are made out of.
Best wishes
