We have managed though to have little trips and holidays now and then. We tried camping, several times; mmm ... some stories there!
This was our campsite at Boonaroo Fraser Straits, Queensland.
We have a favourite hide-away place in the Bunya Mountains; we rent a little mountain-house and do what I call 5-STAR camping.
The views are spectacular
Another camp-site at Somerset Dam was special.This time we are heading for the NSW north coast and inland a bit to visit the birthplace of some of Noel’s early settlers family. We could be away for up to a week, really looking forward to it...
I was attending a seminar on something or the other quite a few years ago, when I was much younger; and we were asked to write down, in one word, how we would like others to describe us. The most important thing we would want others to see us as being.My answer that day was ‘intelligent’...Makes you think though - what would your word be?
Today I think I would change that to ‘wise’...

My word...ummmm....'private', maybe...'paradoxial' comes to mind...'insane' is another...to difficult. I've given up on others' opinions of me as I think they would get it wrong, too! ;) I know myself better than any one does...and I'm still confused!! ;)

I agree with you ....wise is the word: if we grow older and wiser I think you are blessed, but that also means you are much more more relaxed and can have more fun ...so happy holiday.
The pictures are splendid.
Many moons ago my uncle who lived at Harvey Bay and Father( when on hols) used to travel by boat to Fraser Island with their provisions, staying in that pristine environment when there was virtually no one ...camping and fishing ....can you imagine what it was like some 50 + years ago !!

My word - tolerant, something I was not when I was younger but have learnt plenty of lessons in tolerance to get me where I am now! lol.

Hello from across the ditch !!! Thank you for your comment on my blog. I never went to any of the music festivals as I have never been interested in music.
You must have a few camping stories worth telling - have a look at Lulu.
As for my one word....... "Krazy" with a capital "K" !!! (hehe)
