looking for old friends.. Part II

Roybe from Frog Garden mentioned an outfit called ‘friendsunited’ in the UK. Yep - you were right Roy, I’ve been to visit the Australian site here: friendsreunited.com.au
Only a brief look around at this stage, and there were others that came up when I googled; so there is one more thing I have added to the list that starts ‘when I have time..’ !

And from Erica, on the same subject, I followed Erica's link to: schoolfriends.com.au, but this time I went through the steps to add myself to a list of people who attended the same school as I did in primary school. I didn’t recognise any of the other names that were on the list, but then I didn’t expect to - I barely remember primary school, let-alone the other kids.

But it was fun, and very easy to do... it’s just that my school years were short, and a bit jumbled... my memories are dim. I always wonder how people can have such clarity and detailed descriptions of early lives; I must not have been paying attention.

That’s a good thing too about nostalgia, and revisting memories, it reminds us that whatever else we are doing with our time, at the time, we are making ‘memories’ for the future. I didn’t understand that when I was young.

thank GAWD I'm not the only one with a dim memory! I keep in touch with a school friend who remembers EVERY single thing we got up to - and reminds me about them, while I am a complete blank - it must have been something to do with my school reports when the teacher wrote "inclined to day dream"
