playing the video

hmmm .. this one is supposed to 'play in place' (it wasn't)
got the code from a crowd called vPIP - anybody know them?

later..........
WOW - what can I say? It's working!
BIG THANKYOU to
enric who has a very impressive vlog at Cirne

Now, it seems I have to make another copy to play in QuickTime, lucky thing I don't work again till Sunday - I've downloaded QuickTime Pro but can't make any sense of it yet..

Well, Noel says that I am no Stephen Spielberg, that's for sure - and I don't think I'll be giving up my day job, but tenacity is my middle name, so I have persevered and so now we have the QuickTime version.

Quite a journey - I didn't want to 'remake' the video, so went looking for something that would convert the .wmv file into .mov for me. Found a program called BabelVideo, looked like just the thing, paid and downloaded - no go - wouldn't work at all - don't you hate that! They say 30 days money back, so here's hoping -

Then I found another, this one called AVS Video Converter which I downloaded, this time, trial version, which is why, on the video, there is a little box that says "not registered" - okay, I believe in user pays, so this one looks like the goods, but this'll do for now.

Maybe, one day - I'll have a look at Flash - but NOT today!

Next task is to find and add some audio, can't think what to use, somehow the actual audio on the original video clips is motorway traffic (we live near the Pacific Highway), with birds calling in the background - we don't hear the traffic, but the video/camera has picked it up!

Two suggestions:

1) Add a
</script>
entry above
<script src="http://www.turningsixty.com.au/videos/vPIP/vpip.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

That will close the prior script before identifying the vpip sript.

2) Remove the quoations marks around:
caption="scrubbie in action"
so that it becomes:
caption=scrubbie in action

Also, I recommend using the vPIP code generator at:

http://utilities.cinegage.com/videos-playing-in-place/using-vpip/

Click on the image to bring it up.

Let me know if there's any problems or questions.

And the turkey's point is???? he appears to be just chucking stuff everywhere, not feeding or nest building???
No wonder my friends at Tamborine have become so anti turkey's.

Great video. Such good quality. I might have to borrow enric's tips and try that when next I post a video.

A few months ago my sister and her children visited, so I took them to Paluma. In the rainforest there, a scrub turkey took a liking (or dislike) to one of my nieces. It didn't care what we did, but if Shay started running, so would the turkey. If she walked, the turkey would copy. It followed her through a log of the rainforest. Now I wish I had taken some film of it.

Thanks very much for your kind comments on my blog, but I don't understand ROTFL I saw it already several times and thought that must be something like lol but now I am too curious and I have to ask ! Abreviations if it's not "office" language are unknown to me.

I have the new IE 7 and am very happy with it and also Firefox, but I don't like it and use it only for uploading pictures, because it's Blogger's darling. Do you have the new IE ? I have to learn a bit to exploit everything new, but it's very easy to handle. And all blogs included mine look fine, and it's quicker.

Congratulations on having a go, Della. I'm too computer illiterate to even try! Besides which, it's all gibberish to me, lol!

I did try to play it but didn't have much luck. Never mind better luck next time.

Cheers

Robyn

Hi Della ~~ Thanks for your comments
about Remembrance Day. Thank God, our troops have been fortunate, and like
you I feel for the Americans and British who have been less fortunate.
Each and every one has families who mourn them. Your turkey doesn't seem to be making a mound as Robyn suggests
but maybe he will get to it. At least it is a purpose. Take care, Love, Merle.
