Nothing comes to mind today to blog about, so it's a good chance to show some more pics of our recent trip.
our hideaway holiday spot at Calurla.
The spectacular mountain views are here
and you can hear the beautiful evening birdsong here
Now, as you can see:
'gardens to the left of us...'

'my favourite tree...'

'barbecues on the balcony...'

'but please don't feed the dogs...'

The owners have 3 dogs, they are all beautiful and well-behaved. They love company and they do seem to know just when there is likely to be food around. It's hard to follow the 'rules' and not give in to this very beseeching look.

HI Della.. it sure looks like a get-a-way I would want!! Nothing in view but nature!!!! (turning green with envy here)
awww.. who can deny a face like the pooch has??
I would have had to break the rules and feed the dog.....what a sweet face that one has!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and the kind words on the post about Drew. I have 14 grandchildren now, the oldest being 18 years and the youngest is 9 months old. I love theme all sooo very much. I'm glad that your son is moving closer to you with your little grand daughter and now you will be able to spend time with her......I think that grand children are God's gift to us for putting up with teen-agers! LOL
Hi Della
A little piece of paradise, How can you not feed the dog he looks like my Clayton A blue heeler.
What a difficult face to resist, dogs are so expressive.
Love the natural beauty it would be wonderful to spend some time there relaxing and reading.
Cheers Margaret
Hi Deslily, this was our 2nd visit, we are so lucky to have these rain-forest places so close, this one is only an hours drive from home.
and yes, I suspect we did break the rules and feed the dog, from their behaviour I think probably everybody does, they are not silly...
Marite, thanks for visiting .. and I'll say it again - 14 grandchildren, how lucky you all are!
jeanette, he IS a beauty, we could have taken him home..
Hi Margaret, the peace in Calurla is fantastic, and nothing to do unless you want to, there are tourist drives and the local towns to visit, but my idea of relaxing has definitely become a 'Calurla Day'
How exciting for you to be looking forward to having your son so close. Aren't you going to have fun!
Lovely hideaway spot you've found and the heartbreaking pleading on the dog's face is a classic.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
Take care
Ahhh...finally this time I got your blog up, Della...sorry I've not been in for a couple of days....I don't know what was going on.
So great about your son and his family moving closer, Della...now all you need to do is convince your daughter to do similar! ;)
I love that cottage in the mountains. Thanks for sharing it with us again.
